MATHS TEACHER, KS 3 - 4

PRESTON, LANCASHIRE

PART TIME

Vida Education are looking to recruit an qualified Maths Teacher to work in a large secondary school in the Preston area for a potential long-term cover starting in January.

The ideal candidate with be able to teach Maths to KS3 and KS4 classes and will take the full time role of a member of staff, marking, planning, lesson preparation, meetings (where applicable).

The cover is part time (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and will potentially be until the end of the 24/25 academic year.

Applications are welcome from both Newly Qualified and experienced Maths Teachers. 

THE SCHOOL

The secondary school based on the outskirts of Preston was last rated as 'Good' in 2024 and was praised for the improvement they have put in over the recent years.

You would be required to help maintain and improve the high standards that are already set. Joining a highly supportive environment, you will need to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and be skilled in classroom management.

YOU WILL NEED TO BE;

A talented and ambitious Maths Teacher seeking an opportunity to work in a fantastic school.

A Maths Teacher passionate about their subject, with excellent knowledge of KS3 and KS4.

Someone who always strives to get the best out of your students and will immerse themselves into the ethos of the school and their policies.

YOU WILL NEED TO;

Have UK Right To Work Status

Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and always strive to get the best out of your students.

Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS.
