The Role

The successful candidate will:

* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Mathematics Department, ensuring outstanding standards of teaching and learning across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.

* Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that challenges students and prepares them for success in GCSE and A-Level Mathematics.

* Mentor and support teachers within the department, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and excellence.

* Monitor student progress and attainment, implementing interventions and strategies to maximise achievement.

* Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school improvement and academic success.

* Organise and promote extracurricular activities such as maths clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives to enrich students' learning experiences.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

* Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with extensive experience in Mathematics education.

* Have a proven track record of successful leadership within a Maths department.

* Demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge and the ability to teach A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

* Be passionate about fostering mathematical curiosity, analytical thinking, and a growth mindset in students.

* Possess strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire both students and staff.
