Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (Office/Hybrid)

Position: Part-Time / Flexibility

Reports to: Managing Director

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Take full ownership of financial leadership, promoting company values and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and innovative culture.
Partner strategically with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to provide insights and drive operational efficiency.
Actively support decision-making with valuable financial insights and challenges.Financial Control:

Oversee all aspects of the finance function, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
Maintain robust financial controls and manage overheads, adhering to budgets and recommending corrective actions.
Lead the period-end financial close process and oversee treasury activities, including cash management and forex.
Manage accounts payable/receivable processes to improve working capital.
Support periodic forecasting, planning, and annual budgeting.
Collaborate with external advisors, including accountants and tax specialists.Finance Team:

Establish efficient, consistent standards and processes within the finance function.
Coach and develop finance team members, encouraging continuous improvement.
Optimise reporting processes using production management systems and Excel.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Proven experience as a Financial Manager with a track record of driving accuracy and efficiency.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience within a small finance team.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage non-finance colleagues.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the bigger picture.
Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with at least 10 years' post-qualification experience.
Advanced Excel skills.Desirable:

Experience in owner-managed businesses.
Familiarity with import/export processes and postponed import VAT regimes.
Knowledge of Progress Plus and SAGE 50 software.About Us
