Design Manager

Location: Exeter

Salary: Up to £65k + Package

I am currently working on behalf of a UK Leading Main Contractor, who are seeking a talented Design Manager to join their team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established team and work on some exciting projects within the South West region.

They are currently tendering forr healthcare and education schemes that you would be able to work on from cradle to grave.

Role

As Design Manager you will:

* Oversee all technical matters including design and approvals

* Be responsible for the control of the design process from planning application through to project completion

* Lead design team meetings, as well as ensuring that queries are resolved in a timely manner

* Provide technical advice on the feasibility of projects

Candidate

Design Managers applying to this role must have:

* Prior experience as a design manager working on either healthcare or education schemes

* Delivery and action focused, can identify risks and deliver effective solutions with minimal supervision

* Effective time management and progress projects against plan

* Good knowledge of modern methods of construction

* Experience of closing out challenging projects
