Anzuk Education work with a number of Secondary Schools across Fareham who are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to assist with cover teaching arrangements across all subject areas for KS3, KS4 and KS5!

Cover Supervisors are essentially unqualified cover teachers who are able to take the responsibility of the full time class teacher if the full-time class teacher is absent.

Position Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include supervising students, ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment, and delivering pre-prepared lessons or materials. This is a rewarding position that offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervising and engaging students in their learning

* Delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment

* Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere

* Supporting the educational progress of our students

* Have good behaviour management skills to manage the classroom in line with the schools policies.

* Since your primary role is supervising a classroom when the teacher is absent, you don't prepare lesson plans. The class teacher provides the teaching materials and items necessary for the lesson.

* Be willing to cover a range of subjects if necessary.

Requirements:

* A passion for education and a desire to inspire students

* Flexibility to adapt to various subjects and age groups

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* A positive and patient attitude

* Experience within a Classroom environment.

While you are not actively teaching, having the necessary qualities and experience of a teacher is important. For instance, you require confidence to keep students motivated and focused on the lessons. You also assist pupils with tasks to ensure they keep up with the school curriculum even when the teacher is absent.
