Title: Recruitment & Engagement Officer
Salary: Up to £32,000 p/a
Location: Preston

JGA are delighted to be working with a successful organisation looking to add a Recruitment & Engagement Officer to its team!

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a deep understanding of the needs of the business and the department to create innovative and engaging job adverts for current openings that attract the right people
Source applicants through various methods including advertising, job sites, career fairs, online platforms, etc.
Keep up to date with employment law changes relevant for recruitment
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
Screen candidates by reviewing CVs and job applications, perform phone screenings and update candidates on hiring processes
Schedule and coordinate interviews cooperatively with hiring managers (send calendar invite to managers/ invite candidates to interviews by text messages and emails)
Ensure interviewing managers have appropriate recruitment skills and training
Design appropriate interview questions and assessments
Any other activities relating to the needs of the local HR team
Skills & experience required:

Level 3 H&S awareness.
A Minimum of 2 years' experience working in recruitment
Previous experience in working within an FMCG environment desirable but not essential
Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethical, and cultural awareness
Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude with excellent organisational skills
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, and comfortable learning new technical systems
Evidenced experience in building effective relationships at all levels within a business
Innovative with a proven track record of working proactively
