We are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave starting in October. This role has the potential to become permanent. The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher who is passionate about providing high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role: - Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans that engage Year 4 students and facilitate active learning experiences.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing reports as required.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Guide students in developing their academic and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best teaching practices.
- Communicate with parents and carers over students’ progress and participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience as a Year 4 Teacher or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and teaching standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Energy, enthusiasm, stamina, patience, dedication, resilience and self-discipline.
- Initiative, leadership and supervisory skills and teamworking abilities.
- Imagination, creativity and a sense of humour.
