We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both plant and grounds maintenance. This role involves various tasks, operation of gully suckers, road sweepers other specialised vehicles such as elevated platforms, grass cutting equipment, hedge cutting equipment, etc. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Duties

• Maintain and operate machinery in accordance with established protocols.
• Driving and operating specialised vehicles and equipment to maintain the site.
• General labouring duties including removal of dirt and detritus from the sites, utilising sweeping, hosing, shovelling and cleaning including using a range of mechanical equipment and operating small mobile plant and forklift trucks
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any queries or concerns effectively.
• General handyman duties such as minor repairs, installations of equipment and any general tasks that may be required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role or environment is advantageous.

• MUST HOLD CLASS 2 LICENCE.

• General handyman experience required.

• Must be available for short term call out

• Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams.

• Will have experience of Labouring in either an industrial or building and civil engineering environment and, due to the nature of the role, must be prepared to work in the inclement weather and conditions when necessary

• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high-quality standards.
