Kara Healthcare are currently looking for a full-time Deputy Manager to join their caring, enthusiastic, and supportive team.

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our care facility, providing leadership and support to staff while maintaining high standards of care for our residents.
This position requires a compassionate individual with a strong background in home care, nursing homes, or assisted living environments.
The Deputy Manager will work closely with the management team to implement care plans and promote a positive atmosphere for both staff and residents, particularly focusing on senior care and dementia care.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

* Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional care to residents, fostering a culture of teamwork and respect.

* Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of residents.

* Ensure that all staff are trained in best practices for senior care and dementia care.

* Monitor the quality of care provided, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

* Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and external agencies regarding care needs and services.

* Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members.

* Support the Manager in budgeting and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation of the facility.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in a leadership role within a home care or nursing home environment is essential.

* Strong understanding of care plans and their implementation in senior living settings.

* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage staff effectively.

* Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.

* A compassionate approach towards elderly residents and their families.

* Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be an advantage.

* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary.
