Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Location: London & Home Counties.

Salary: £18.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, flexibility required between 6am and 6pm. 39 hours per week plus overtime available.

They are a leading British designer and manufacturer of bespoke luxury upholstered furniture for both high end residential and luxury hospitality sector projects worldwide.

With a large manufacturing site in the Northeast of England, they combine traditional craftmanship with industry best practices to create beautiful bespoke pieces on both an individual and large project scale.

They are currently recruiting for a professional, customer focused driver to join their logistics team based in West London.

About The Role:

As part of the specialist logistics team your primary responsibility will be planning weekly delivery routes, delivering and installing handcrafted furniture to customers throughout the UK.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive 7.5 tonne vehicle and on occasion smaller vehicles
  • Provide a white glove service delivering high end furniture to customers
  • To carry out site visits, checking access and suitability for furniture deliveries
  • Plan routes and delivery schedules for London/South deliveries
  • Prepare lorry for furniture, including fitting timber shelving, placing furniture as required
  • Some joinery work required including assembling beds and fitting bases etc. at customer premises
  • Dressing of furniture on site
  • To support London showroom site with general labouring and maintenance tasks

Candidate Requirements:

  • Route Planning Experience
  • Experience in delivery of high-end furniture
  • Strong customer service skills, well presented and professional
  • Clear communication skills both written and spoken in English
  • IT skills: competent in Microsoft excel etc. with experience of using data bases.
  • A good level of fitness
  • Ability to work independently, or within a team to meet deadlines
  • Good knowledge of London and South of England, using GPS and delivery tracker systems
  • Reliable and punctual approach to work
