KS1 Teaching Assistant - Islington

An inclusive and nurturing primary school in Islington is looking for an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This long-term, full-time role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the learning and development of pupils in Key Stage 1.

The Role:

Position: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Islington, North London
Start: Immediate or ASAP
Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
Salary: £102-£110 per day (dependent on experience)Your Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with additional learning needs.
Adapt class activities and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions.
Foster emotional well-being, positive behaviour, and confidence in young pupils.
Help maintain a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.What We're Looking For:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
A strong understanding of common SEN needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language delays).
A warm, patient, and adaptable approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
