We are seeking a Lecturer in History and Politics to join a great education establishment on a permanent basis. Our client is an institution with a strong track record of academic excellence. This role is ideal for both experienced educators and those new to the profession who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching in A Level History and Politics.

Day to day of the role of an Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in AS and A Level History and Politics, following the Pearson Edexcel specifications.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to a diverse student body and foster a stimulating learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on students’ progress, ensuring high academic standards are maintained.
  • Participate in curriculum development and stay updated with the latest educational trends and best practices in your subject area.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and strategies, contributing to the overall success of the Sixth Form.
  • Support and inspire students aged 16-19 to achieve their full potential and develop a keen interest in the subjects of History and Politics.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the role of a History and Politics Teacher:
  • A degree in History, Politics, or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching up to A Level in the subject area, with a proven track record of excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • If not already obtained, willingness to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification (support provided by the College).
