About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Interim Health and Safety Manager to support our client at a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This is a critical role, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while driving a culture of safety across the site.

As the Interim Health and Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest safety standards, ensuring the well-being of employees, and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all health and safety functions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legislative requirements (e.g., HSE, HACCP).

* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety management systems and documentation.

* Deliver training and toolbox talks to promote awareness and adherence to health and safety practices.

* Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.

* Liaise with senior management, operational teams, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.

* Ensure readiness for external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.

* Support site managers in embedding health and safety into daily operations.

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will bring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills to this interim role.

Essential Requirements:

* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma preferred).

* Proven experience in a health and safety management role, ideally within food manufacturing or a related industry.

* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices in manufacturing environments.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.

* Analytical mindset with a solutions-focused approach.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
