We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our care home team. Our home provides exceptional nursing care to residents with complex mental and physical health conditions, including dementia, in a nurturing, person-centred environment.
About the Role
As an RMN, you'll take the lead in ensuring the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. You will manage medication, create and implement care plans, and provide clinical guidance to a small team, helping residents and staff achieve their full potential.
Your role will also involve fostering a supportive environment where every resident receives the individualized care they deserve. By championing best practices, you'll play a key part in upholding our values and delivering positive outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medication in line with care plans and NMC guidelines.
- Assess and address the mental health needs of residents.
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to residents.
- Monitor residents' physical health and respond to changes.
- Collaborate with external healthcare professionals and agencies.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering a supportive team culture.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- A compassionate, empathetic approach to person-centred care.
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and interventions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Organizational and time-management expertise.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- 1+ year experience in a care home setting
