In this role you will be taking responsibility for the operations team, managing a small team of Drivers and yard / warehouse staff. The roleSupporting with the site health and safety, logistics, order fulfilment and business procedures.Driving operational excellence to achieve continuous improvement in standards of customer service and the delivery of materials is made at the most effective cost to serve the customers. Supervising a small team of Drivers and Warehouse staff, motivating, coaching, and developing the team to maintain the safe and efficient working environment.Ensuring a safety first environment to ensure both customers and staff are free from accidents Ensuring transport legal compliance is maintained and that all the drivers work correct hours and breaks as per legislationMaking sure all vehicles and equipment on site is maintained to ensure fit for purposeOccasional deliveries in Wrexham and surrounding area as requiredExperience requiredSome supervisory experience in a transport / logistics environmentExperience of managing and motivating a small teamExperience of planning, organise and prioritising workloadsKnowledge of transport legislation and experience of working with drivers an advantageKnowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practiceGood interpersonal and influencing skillsHGV, class 2 licence essentialMandeville is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
