This is an excellent career opportunity for a Project Design Engineer or Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and successful product development and manufacturing business.
This Project Design Engineer job will suit:
* You will have experience of working within a Mechanical Design Engineer, Project Engineer or similar mechanical engineering position that has a strong design and project engineering focus.
* You will have an excellent grasp of engineering and design principles encompassing new product design, design application and design for manufacture.
* Previous experience of producing 3D CAD models, layouts and 2D drawings is required, experience of Creo CAD would be advantageous but other CAD packages e.g., Inventor or SolidWorks is fine.
* You will be able to manage multiple concurrent projects from to deliver projects from concept to manufacture.
* You are likely to hold a relevant qualification in a mechanical engineering or similar engineering discipline.
The Project Design Engineer job will involve:
* Responsible for the ownership, coordination and delivery of engineering design and development projects from concept to manufacture.
* Produce 3D CAD part and assembly models, and fully dimensioned 2D drawings.
* Development of prototypes of new products for testing.
* Use of in-house test lab facilities to prove concepts.
* Close collaboration with internal teams and customers.
