About the Role

My client is looking for a proven BDM to help drive growth in a business that delivers a full range of construction services, including:

* Commercial refurbishments

* Design and build projects

* Retail fit-outs

* General building works

Working closely with architects, quantity surveyors, and other key stakeholders, you'll develop a robust pipeline of tenders and secure high-value contracts ranging from £500K to £10 million.

You'll focus on managing relationships, presenting solutions, and representing the business at a senior level. Projects are sourced through industry platforms, internal teams, and client inquiries, with the successful candidate taking responsibility for driving opportunities through a competitive tender process.

What my client is looking for

* Proven track record in business development for a main contractor specializing in retail or commercial projects.

* Strong industry knowledge and network, ideally familiar with high-profile firms in the sector.

* Excellent client engagement and negotiation skills.

* Southeast-based, with the ability to attend the Hertfordshire office 2-3 times per month.
