Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team for a 4-month temporary contract. Based in Coventry, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the smooth operation of financial processes within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and processing of financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and expenses.
• Support the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process.
• Assist with the preparation of reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure that all financial records are kept up-to-date and accurate.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing and maintaining financial documents.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform any other finance-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to work.
• Immediate availability to start is preferred.
