About the Role

Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and adaptable ASD Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 child with Autism (ASD) and speech and language needs. This role is based in a nurturing primary school in Bournville (B30) and offers the potential to become permanent. You'll play a vital role in helping the child develop their communication skills, build confidence, and engage with their learning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD and speech and language needs.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets and support plans.
Use tailored strategies to promote speech and language development.
Encourage social interaction and encourage engagement through structured activities.
Adapt communication styles, including visual aids, PECS, and Makaton, to meet individual needs.Candidate Requirements

Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) and speech and language needs.
Knowledge of EHCPs and implementing individual support plans.
Familiarity with communication tools like PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables (desirable).
