The Role:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Birmingham, specialising in the design and production of high-precision aerofoils for the global aerospace industry. Their innovative solutions contribute to the performance and efficiency of some of the world's most advanced aircraft.

What will you be doing?

* Design and develop aerofoil components for aerospace applications.

* Use CAD software (CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks) to create detailed models and drawings.

* Conduct structural and aerodynamic analysis to optimize designs.

* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-manufacture principles are met.

* Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.

* Support product development from concept through to production.

* Ensure designs comply with industry standards (AS9100, EASA, FAA regulations).

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality.

What will you bring to the party?

* Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).

* Experience in aerospace component design, preferably aerofoils or turbine blades.

* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks).

* Knowledge of FEA, CFD, and other simulation techniques.

* Understanding of aerospace materials (titanium, nickel alloys, composites).

* Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
