A reputable business based in Woolpit are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary basis to cover a 9-month maternity leave. Duties

Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, and third-party vendors
Reconcile financial statements
Prepare, send, and store invoices
Report on the status of accounts payable
Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
Liaising with other departments and depots
Providing support for purchase ledger
Reconciling HMRC records for imports
Preparing accruals on a monthly basis for external accountant
Providing back up for holiday cover within the team
Assisting with month end procedures
Supporting other departments if and when required
Any other administrative or accounts procedures as required
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in a similar accounts or finance assistant role.
Familiarity with accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
