CNC Setter Operator | Poole | up to £49,000 DOE

Purpose

As a CNC Setter Operator, you will be an integral part of the engineering team working late shifts. You'll be responsible for setting, operating and programming on Fanuc Machines.

Shifts are 16:00pm - 02:00am Mon - Thurs

Key Duties as a CNC Setter Operator:

Set up and operate Fanuc machines, as well as having a hand in programming.
Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications to program machines for the production of accurate and high-quality components.
Produce a variety of machined components using different materials, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium, and exotic metals.
Using measurement equipment to inspect work against technical specifications.
Work to tight tolerances and handle both batch runs and one-off components.
The successful CNC Setter Operator will:

Have experience of setting up and operating CNC Turning Machines and lathes.
The ability to interpret technical drawings and work with a variety of materials.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances.
Familiarity with using measuring equipment and performing self-inspections.
A positive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on quality and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.
