SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? A well-established mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the remainder of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing tailored support for students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
Working with small groups or 1:1 to support learning and development.
Supporting students' social, emotional, and academic progress.
Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure holistic student support.
Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Experience with SEND students is essential.
A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
