This role involves tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, account reconciliation & management accounts.
Responsibilities of the Finance Role:
? Accurately entering invoice details such as vendor name, invoice number, date, amount & product or service descriptions.
? Compare the invoice details to purchase orders or quotations/contracts to ensure accuracy & prevent overcharges.
? Assign appropriate accounting codes to the invoice items based on the company’s chart of accounts, along with accurate job sheet number.
? Obtain necessary approvals from authorised personnel, depending on the invoice amount & company policies - File the invoice and supporting documentation for future reference.
? Processing employee expenses using ExpenseIn software & importing it to Sage 50 accounts, checking accounting coding & being mindful of expense amounts & items purchased.
? Reconcile credit card accounts to ensure accuracy & identify discrepancies.
? Process Monthly Management Accounts.
Requirements of the Finance Assistant:
? Experience with Sage 50 Accounts ? 5 years minimum as an Accounts Assistant
? AAT qualified is preferable
? Effective communication both verbally & written
? Previous experience liaising with suppliers & customers
? Able to use own initiative & results driven
? Prioritise workload & adapt to different deadlines
? Team player & able to work independently
? Interpersonal relations with ability to have honest & open communications whilst building rapport
