Our client is a leading contractor with a strong reputation in delivering high-value, large-scale commercial projects across London. We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the mechanical installation on a prestigious commercial development. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Mechanical Project Manager to take the lead on a complex and exciting project.

Position Overview:
The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the mechanical aspects of the commercial project, ensuring successful delivery from design through to handover. The role requires someone with a solid background in mechanical engineering, who can coordinate multiple teams, manage budgets, and drive quality and safety standards across all stages of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the full mechanical scope of the commercial project, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

* Manage the project timeline, ensuring that all mechanical work is completed on time and within budget.

* Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and subcontractors, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.

* Prepare and monitor project schedules, resources, and costs to ensure that the mechanical project stays on track.

* Liaise with senior management, clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and communication.

* Review technical drawings, project specifications, and mechanical systems design to ensure all work is compliant with industry standards.

* Resolve any mechanical issues on-site promptly, making adjustments where necessary to keep the project moving forward.

Skills & Qualifications:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on commercial projects.

* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

* Experience in managing large, complex projects, with a focus on mechanical installations.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive performance.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

* Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent
