We're assisting a leading manufacturing client in the Gainsborough region with a pivotal role as a Shift Maintenance Manager, commanding a generous salary of £53,400. Embrace a balanced work schedule with the 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights, which affords ample time to recharge and pursue personal interests.

In this crucial position, the successful candidate will be at the forefront of ensuring operational excellence. The role involves spearheading the shift, orchestrating planned preventative maintenance, and adeptly managing team KPIs to ensure peak performance. As a strategic leader, one will be responsible for allocating tasks to engineers, ensuring a seamless workflow that aligns with production demands.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in maintenance management, coupled with a proven track record of leading teams to achieve and surpass set objectives. Exceptional communication skills are paramount, as the role necessitates constant liaison with production to coordinate maintenance activities effectively.

Would suit a: Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader, Shift Maintenance Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Lead Engineer or Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and motivate a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

* Implement and oversee a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programme.

* Monitor and drive team KPIs, ensuring targets are met and efficiencies are maximised.

* Organise and assign work to engineers, ensuring optimal use of resources.

* Collaborate closely with production to ensure maintenance tasks are aligned with operational needs

* Actively gain as much information as possible from production personnel regarding the fault on the machine to speed up the fault-finding process.

* Ensure engineering log and computer systems are fully filled in with all relevant information including PM numbers, all used parts, plant numbers, urgency of required parts, at the end of each shift.

* Ensure all communications with external persons are conducted in a professional manner which reflects the company profile.
