My client are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Leicester. This role focuses on designing electrical systems for Electric Vehicle (EV) charge point installations. You will play a key role in the delivery of innovative EV charging solutions and work on various projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop electrical systems for EV charge point installations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

* Create detailed design drawings, schematics, and layout plans using CAD software.

* Perform electrical calculations for load, cable sizing, and earthing to ensure safe and effective designs.

* Engage with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to facilitate connections and approvals.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in electrical design, specifically with EV charge point installations.

* Familiarity with electrical standards and regulations, including experience with earthing design.

* Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
