Accounts Assistant- Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire -  £30,000 - £36,0000 + Benefits

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a well-established logistics company based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire that provide freight and cargo services that are currently looking for a Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. You will collaborate with their skilled and experienced finance and engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Approve and load all supplier/customer invoices into the accounting system.
• Create, update, and approve suppliers, customers, journal entries, bank rules, and automated processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, including petty cash, invoice factoring, and credit cards.
• Assist with foreign exchange rates and manage currency conversions.
• Manage invoice factoring facility and employee expenses.
• Make timely payroll and supplier payments.
• Prepare wages data and work with payroll accountants to set up payments, taxes, pensions, and store payroll files.
• Produce statements, manage remittances, and chase debtors; prepare data for management accounts and tax returns.
• Work with accountants on management accounts and tax returns.
• Monitor cash flow and advise on financial decisions.
• Create regular business reports and KPIs for stakeholders.
• Create new accounting procedures/reports for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Experience required:

• AAT/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or qualified by experience
• Financial experience in the logistics sector (desirable)
• Experience using Xero and Hubdoc (desirable)
• Google Workspace experience (desirable)
