We are recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join a diverse manufacturing client based in Burton Upon Trent

This role has been created due to business growth and the business are looking to add a new permanent member off staff for their team.

Successful candidates must be time-served or able to demonstrate a competency through experience to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications.

Candidates must have experience working with a range of manual machinery including Lathes, Millers and Grinders . Experience working with various materials is a must. Experience in CNC Milling is also advantageous but not essential

This will be well suited to someone with a strong toolroom background looking to join a diverse and busy business.

Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00, Friday 07:30 - 13:00 (early finish Fridays)

The Ideal candidates will have :

* Experience working within a machine shop environment machining bespoke components for special purpose projects.

* The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings. overhead crane operating experience

The ability to manipulate any of the following:

* Manual Lathe, Miller and Grinders

Candidate Skills

* Ideally Time-served

* Demonstrable experience operating a Manual Lathe and Miller to tight tolerances.

* Experience working with various materials.

* Happy to be involved in supporting the wider team in project works.
