The Client

Our Client supplies bespoke joinery to the commercial, leisure, healthcare, education and fit-out sectors. They design, manufacture and instal internal bespoke joinery and acoustic panelling as well as a range of fire-rated and specialists doorsets.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast growing construction sub-contractor based in Stoke.

The role is an Accounts Assistant, but also looking for you to help out in other areas of the business including document control, obtaining clearances and obtaining security clearances.

To provide support to the finance department in the provision of daily, weekly and monthly accounting information within appropriate deadlines. To work on projects investigating the administration, control and financial impact of key operational activities. To take ownership of the production and reviewing of concept costings for Craigavon Site. Assist with other factory accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Help with all accounts including payment runs and bank reconciliation.

* To contribute to the annual budget process for the site, along with preparing budget information for allocated areas of responsibility.

* To work with the Site Accountant and other Assistant Accountant on a day-to-day basis and provide holiday/exam cover as required.

* To cost new products and create & amend production models when required.

* Help to source and save all appropriate accreditations in relevant files.

* Collating various information from other departments and filing appropriately.

* Potentially writing posts on the companies social media platforms.

* Helping to apply and file various security clearances for MOD sites the company works on.

* Document Control responsibilities and helping to file all appropriate company drawings.

* Bank reconciliation.

* Cross referencing and authorising expenses from company's staff.

* Making sure all GRN are received.

* Making sure all payment certificates are filed correctly.

You

Given the company are a medium sized construction sub-contractor, the client will be looking for you to help out in both the finance department as well as help with the administration/document control areas. The company are on a growth plan currently and expanding, so it is a great time to join them. Over time your role will be more defined but give you some good rounded experience in how a business operates.

Key skills they would be looking for are -

* Accounts assistant experience and all the various responsibilities that go with this.

* Experience working in the construction sector would be ideal, although not a necessity.

* Any administration / Document Control knowledge would also be desirable.

* Attention to detail, a real key area you would need to be skilled in
