Senior Quantity Surveyor - Heritage Site Refurbishment

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, specializing in refurbishment projects involving heritage sites in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and a passion for preserving and enhancing the value of historic buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee financial and contractual management of heritage refurbishment projects.
Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor, and time.
Negotiate contracts and work schedules with contractors and suppliers.
Manage payments for contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed to standard and on time.
Monitor project progress, budget, and quality, and report any variances.
Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide advice on legal and contractual issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or similar professional body.
Proven experience in managing refurbishment projects, preferably involving heritage sites.
Strong knowledge of construction costs and contracts.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office and project management applications.
