Mechanical Site Supervisor Needed for Prestigious Residential Project in Central London

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join a leading construction contractor for a prestigious residential project in central London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the mechanical installation works, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality completion of mechanical systems installation, while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Oversight: Supervise and lead the mechanical installation team, ensuring coordination and effective communication across all trades on site.

* Mechanical Services: Oversee the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and other essential services for the residential project.

* Quality Control: Ensure all works meet relevant building codes, regulations, and project specifications, with an unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

* Health & Safety: Uphold the highest health and safety standards by enforcing protocols, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring full site compliance with safety regulations.

* Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of mechanical installations, ensuring alignment with project schedules and addressing delays or issues as they arise.

* Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and resources.

* Cost Management: Monitor and control budgets for mechanical works, identifying any potential cost overruns and addressing them proactively.

* Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical or logistical challenges to keep the project on track and avoid unnecessary delays.

Key Requirements:

* Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in residential projects.

* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and ventilation.

* Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively while maintaining excellent communication across all levels.

* Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent (e.g., HNC/HND).

* Health & Safety Expertise: Knowledge of health and safety legislation with hands-on experience managing site safety.

* Problem-Solving & Organisational Skills: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues and excellent organisational skills for managing schedules, budgets, and contractors.
