A global commercial business based in Brentwood is currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join its existing team of 4. Reporting into the Credit Manager, your duties will include:

• Full responsibility for managing a multicurrency ledger worth £7million
• Chasing of outstanding debt by telephone, email, teams meetings
• Investigating and resolving queries
• Resolving unallocated cash
• Internal teams meetings with Account Managers and Directors to help resolve delays in payments
• Working towards monthly cash collection & debt reduction targets
• Identify changes in payment patterns, monitoring credit limits, assessing credit risk
• Propose write off of irrecoverable receivables
• Account reconciliations
• Review of aged debt ensuring bad debt provision requirement is kept to a minimum
• Weekly aged debt analysis including commentary on problem accounts

Skills/experience required:

• Credit control experience preferably in a large complex business environment
• Multicurrency experience is essential
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with customers
• Strong work ethic, passionate about credit control and happy to work to targets
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Good excel and ERP exposure
• Good written and oral communication skills
