We are excited to be working with an excellent special school in Haywards Heath for 6-12 year olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The school are looking for a full-time teaching assistant from September. The school believe that every child can flourish and are looking for a TA to join the team who believes they have the skillset to enable their pupils to achieve their full potential

Role: Teaching Assistant

Pay: £12.90 - £14.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs.
Support students in their learning activities and encourage participation.
Help to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members.
Foster positive relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and strengths.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:

Experience working with young people with SEMH difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to our values of clarity, openness, and consistency in communication.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
