A highly regarded secondary school in Uxbridge is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join its dynamic Humanities department. The school is committed to developing globally-minded students with a strong understanding of the physical and human world around them.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Teach engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Deliver a curriculum that explores both physical and human geography, including climate change, ecosystems, urban development, and global interdependence.

Prepare students for success at GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on critical thinking, data analysis, and fieldwork skills.

*

Promote a love of geographical enquiry through the use of current events, real-world case studies, and interactive resources.

Support and lead field trips, excursions, and in-school geography enrichment activities.

*

Use data and assessments effectively to support student progress and differentiate learning.

*

Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality schemes of work and share best practices.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS/QTLS with a specialism in Geography or a related subject.

Have experience teaching Geography up to A-Level with a strong record of student achievement.

*

Be passionate about geography and the role it plays in shaping young people's understanding of the world.

Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging.

*

Be a team player, committed to continuous improvement and student success.
