The Role of a Planning Director

As Planning Director, you will be at the forefront of our projects, ensuring the smooth delivery of planning permissions and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the planning process for multiple residential and commercial development projects
• Develop and implement innovative planning strategies aligned with business goals
• Manage relationships with local councils, planning consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Oversee planning applications, appeals, and compliance with statutory requirements
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members

Essential Criteria for a Planning Director

• Demonstrable years of experience in consultancy, planning, development, or a related field.
• Strong client management and business development skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of planning regulations, development processes, and related legislation.
• Extensive contacts within the area of planning
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., a degree in planning, real estate, urban design, or a related discipline) are preferred.
• Chartered membership of the RTPI is highly desirable.
