We are currently working with a long-standing family-owned main contractor based in Essex that specialise in Community, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Ecclesiastical and Residentials schemes.

Established over 60 years ago as a Carpentry contractor, now run by the third generation of the family, the company has grown to become one of the leading building contractors in Essex & East Anglia.

Main Responsibilities:

Review tender information and employer's requirements, and assess their implications.

*

Prepare comprehensive and detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and pricing information.

*

Present tender submissions for adjudication and attend relevant meetings.

*

Analyse and incorporate tender returns into submission and handover packs.

*

Support pre-construction, technical, and planning functions by providing information and assistance.

*

Negotiate final contract sums, prepare risk registers, and assist in establishing project budgets.

We're Looking For:

*

Good experience working with a main contractor and dealing with projects of similar value.

*

Residential / Commercial experience (Preferable)

*

Experience of various construction methods

*

Experience of controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets

*

Good technical knowledge and the ability to look beyond the information drawn or specified, and to allow for all necessary to complete a task or element of construction

*

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point

*

Ability to use a computerized estimating package

*

Good standard of mathematical ability
