Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client, manufacturing site based in Bury St Edmunds. Our client is a leading producer for the specialty ingredient market, and due to ongoing growth, they are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their friendly engineering team.

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll ensure equipment runs reliably with proactive maintenance and quick responses to breakdowns. Strong electrical knowledge and PLC fault-finding skills are essential. Work alongside other engineers to keep operations smooth and efficient across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Shift Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work as part of the engineering team to carry out maintenance work on machinery and equipment This includes maintenance of packaging, milling, and product handling equipment as well as site infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Installation and commissioning of new plant or modifications as appropriate
• Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance.
• Reporting of all engineering activities in the appropriate format into a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

A successful Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong background in technical problem-solving, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a lean operating environment, preferably within FMCG, and have a proven track record working within a diverse operational team. An ONC/HNC in Engineering, supported by a recognized apprenticeship, is required.
