Buying AssistantSalfordc£24k My client is an extremely well-established Pharmaceutical wholesaler & distributor, and we are proud to support in their search for a Buying Assistant to join their team close to Salford Quays. You will play a key role in supporting the wider buying team across all functions, being responsible for managing all queries from internal and external customers in relation to identifying sources of products (medicines) globally. Hours: Monday-Friday 08:30 – 17:00. Hybrid working 3 in office, 2 from home.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage all product enquiries from internal and external customers in relation to product availability for allocated customers.
- Using databases, national websites and accumulated data, research each product enquiry to identify which countries a product is available in, taking into consideration requested brands as well as viable alternatives.
- Liaise with the buyers to obtain pricing and availability information on products from initial query.
- Collate all responses and respond to query originator.
- Manage and maintain databases and spreadsheets in relation to live and historic queries.
- Own all enquiries from start to finish for designated customers.
- Carrying out regulatory procedures in relation to importing unlicenced medicinal products.
- Responsible for ensuring the Import Approval database is maintained.
- Liaising with the internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Analyse, review and input data as required by the wider team.
- Provide support on a variety of projects that assist the department on an ad hoc basis.
- Maintenance of supplier and product data in company systems and databases.
- Adhere to GMP/GDP regulations.

- High level of computer literacy, to include all main Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Able and willing to take ownership and use initiative where required to see tasks through to the end.
- Ability to be organised to prioritise workload whilst demonstrating time management skills
