Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Door Fitter/Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with a particular focus on fitting, installing, and repairing doors of various types and materials. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to fit doors into specific spaces.
Install doors, frames, locks, and handles to ensure proper operation and alignment.
Repair or replace damaged doors, frames, and associated hardware.
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure project completion on time.
Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Follow all company policies, including health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a door fitter, carpenter, or in a similar role.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to carpentry.
Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A valid driver's license may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery or a related field.
Experience with a variety of door types, including interior, exterior, fire-rated, and custom doors
