Join a growing international bank in London as a Loans Underwriter, specialising in bespoke, complex mortgages for high net worth (HNW) clients. This pivotal role involves assessing and evaluating tailored mortgage applications, requiring a deep understanding of the unique financial situations of HNW clients. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks while delivering personalised service.

• Review and analyse mortgage applications, including financial portfolios, income sources, tax structures, and investment properties of HNW individuals.
• Assess complex financial documentation and make informed decisions based on bespoke lending criteria
• Design and deliver tailored mortgage solutions that meet client needs while mitigating risk.
• Conduct objective credit assessments of lending proposals and annual loan reviews.
• Prepare and present proposals to the Credit Committee, attend meetings, and prepare relevant minutes.
• Manage facility letters, security documents, and ensure all pre-drawdown legal issues are addressed.
• Oversee facility drawdowns, ensuring all security is perfected and conditions precedent are complied with.

• Regulated credit experience and a strong focus on underwriting complex mortgage applications for HNW individuals.
• Good standard of secondary/university education.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and banking software applications.
• In-depth knowledge of lending principles, credit assessment, and secured lending in the UK property market.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
