Our leading US Law Firm client is seeking a HR Assistant to join them in their expanding London based HR team. The role will directly support the London office and will often work globally with the firms US teams.

The HR Assistant will be a fully generalist role and will also work closely with specialist HR teams. The HR Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support to the London HR Team across Recruitment, Graduate Recruitment, People Management, Rewards and Payroll & Benefits.

Duties of the HR Assistant:

  • Assisting the HR team with the hiring process for all roles within the London office (ensuring all offer documentation is accurate and supporting new joiner processes)
  • Assisting the HR team in delivering the Graduate Recruitment / Summer Vacation Scheme / Work Experience Strategy (building relationships with universities, attending Law Fairs, coordinating interviews and selection processes, and overseeing the HR responsibilities for the trainee population)
  • Responsible for accurate maintenance of HR data using the HR System and preparing reports
  • Supporting the HR Management and the Partners in implementing HR policies and/or initiatives
  • Ensuring all data relating to payroll including salary changes, benefits, pension contributions and expenses are accurately collated
  • Taking ownership of the employee lifecycle
  • Ad-hoc project work and support

Requirements of the HR Assistant:

  • 2+ years relevant experience within a law firm is essential
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise workloads
