Due to our ongoing expansion, we are currently seeking to recruit a meticulous and highly experienced individual, in the role of Bookkeeping Manager. As Bookkeeping Manager you will play a lead role in the continued growth of resourcing team, supporting a wide variety of Owner Managed Businesses and SME's. With a fast-growing client base that enjoy the many benefits that our outsourced solution provides, this role will offer a rewarding client facing role for an experienced and ambitious bookkeeper.

This position requires a highly organised, reliable, and pro-active individual who can handle a variety of tasks with accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will take responsibility for the delivery of cloud-based bookkeeping services using a variety of cloud-based systems, for a variety of clients, up to extended trial balance, preparation of VAT returns and involvement with wider service offerings. In this client facing role, so you'll be a strong communicator and a pro-active problem solver, with the ability to build close bonds with the clients you support, understanding their business and working to support them and their business needs as their outsourced finance function.

The role will also see you lead on and manage the workflow and timely delivery of all client bookkeeping services across the team, as well as manage and support your team members and their ongoing development. You will work as part of the Resourcing Accounts Team, in this Full Time, permanent position, from our “NEW” Leamington Spa office.

In return for this, we are looking for someone who has/is:

• AAT Qualified or QBE.

• Proven experience as a bookkeeping manager or Senior Bookkeeper role within a UK accountancy practice.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent understanding of bookkeeping principles and procedures.

• Strong proficiency in XERO &/or Quickbooks is essential.

• Strong understanding of VAT & CIS rules and schemes.

• Previous experience of working in an “outsourced finance function” highly desirable.

• Experienced sales ledger and credit control management.

• Exceptional communicator (verbal & written), with a passion for great customer service.

• Highly organised and works well under pressure and to strict deadlines.

• Great problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.

• Hardworking, personable individual, who thrives collaborating as well as working alone.

• Strong IT skills with a good working good working knowledge of MS-Excel.

What would I be doing as Bookkeeping Manager at The Arkk?

• Oversee and manage the in-house bookkeeping team.

• Supervise, train and review the work of the bookkeeping team.

• Build strong lasting relationships with a large variety of clients.

• Regular contact and communication with clients, answering queries and serving as a key contact.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all bookkeeping areas.

• Review, improve and maintain the quality of bookkeeping work delivered by the team.

• Resolve any issues and ensure timely delivery of services.

• General bookkeeping duties for a wide portfolio of clients.

• Processing more complex VAT & CIS returns, understanding requirements, concepts and calculations.

• Deal with queries relating to Customs & Excise, Inland Revenue and Companies House

• Take up to and assist with the preparation of management accounts.

• Assisting in the production of monthly accounts, budgets and reports.

• Conduct training of clients and co-workers in cloud-based systems.

• Checking regularly for scope creep and initiating a review of the budget / fees.

• Develop and implement bookkeeping procedures and best practices.

• Monitor and report on the performance of the bookkeeping function.

• Maintain files and accurate records on the internal management database and filing system.

• Support the wider accounting team as needed.

35 Hours per week (Mon to Thu 08:30 till 16:30 & Fri 08:30 till 14.00)
