Facilities Assistant 

Job Purpose:
Join our dynamic site team and help us achieve our goal of becoming the leading site team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and innovative environment for students, staff, and visitors by ensuring our building and grounds are in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Premises Security: Oversee the security of the premises and its contents.
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations on the academy buildings and grounds.
Operational Support: Open and close the academy as required, including mornings, evenings, and other agreed times.
Grounds Management: Keep the academy grounds clean by clearing litter, managing waste, and ensuring bins are regularly emptied.
Incident Reporting: Report any defects, trespassers, or nuisances to the Facilities Manager or Assistant Facilities Manager.
Event Preparation: Set up rooms and areas for academy functions and events.
Contractor Monitoring: Supervise contractors and visitors to ensure security and proper conduct.
Consumable Management: Replace and repair consumables such as locks and light bulbs.
Furniture and Equipment Handling: Store, move, and set up furniture and equipment for various events.
Cleaning Duties: Conduct daily and emergency cleaning tasks as directed.
Miscellaneous Tasks: Assist with additional duties as required by the Facilities Manager or senior staff.

Performance Management:

Actively participate in the academy's Performance Management process.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Training: Comprehensive training will be provided on all in-house systems.
Handyman Skills: Experience in handyman skills and using power tools is advantageous.
Building Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with building operations is beneficial but not essential.
Methodical Approach: A logical and systematic approach to tasks is required.
Professional Development: Stay updated on developments in your area and show commitment to your own professional growth.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to current health and safety policies and statutory requirements.
