Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £36k + Training & Benefits

A well-established Water Hygiene / Legionella company in the North East is seeking a well-rounded Water Hygiene Engineer to travel across commercial, healthcare, manufacturing and local authority sites, in order to safely manage ACOP L8 compliance. The role will involve a wide range of duties, including: PPM and reactive works. Candidates will need to be able to travel when required as such, will need to hold a UK driving license. Salaries and benefits are competitive and include great training schemes and overtime opportunities.

Our client requires candidates who are based around: Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn, Gateshead, East Boldon, Whickham, Blaydon, Washington, Chester-le-Street, Stanley, Consett, Houghton le Spring, Sunderland, Murton, Durham, Hartlepool, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Blyth, Prudhoe, Ryton, Whitley Bay, Middlesborough, Redcar, Yarm, Darlington.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have proven experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer within a well-established Water / Legionella outfit
- Fully conversant in ACOP L8 & HSG 274 guidelines
- Will ideally have experience working across a range of client sites
- Plumbing / remedial experience / qualifications would be beneficial, but not essential
- Able to travel as required by company needs
- Good written and numeracy skills
- Professional manner

The Role:
- Travelling to client sites in order to maintain compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG guidelines
- TMV inspections and servicing
- Showerhead disinfections
- Flushing of little used outlets
- Water sampling
- Temperature monitoring
- Cleans & disinfections of various systems, including: CWST and Cooling Towers
- Completing thorough service reports and updating site logbooks
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients
