An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join a leading organisation within the building materials and construction sector. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who can manage strategic and complex projects while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

The Role
As a Project Manager, you will report to the CX Manager and lead plant improvement and CAPEX projects from feasibility to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Ownership: Defining project scope, objectives, and resource allocation.
- Strategic Planning: Working closely with production and maintenance teams to optimise plant efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Managing and motivating project engineers and larger project teams.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensuring all projects adhere to safety, budget, and quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as a key partner to maintenance, production, and safety teams.
- Budget Control: Managing costs using Excel and SAP reporting tools.
- Project Execution: Overseeing end-to-end project delivery, from feasibility studies to final implementation and review.
- Health & Safety: Promoting a strong safety culture in line with industry best practices.

Skills & Experience Required
- Engineering qualification with significant project management experience in a heavy industrial, chemical/process or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools: MS Project, Office, SharePoint, and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in team management and contractor coordination.
- Knowledge of CAPEX processes and experience in feasibility studies.
- Proficiency in budget control using Excel and SAP.
- Understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety compliance (IOSH/NEBOSH qualification desirable).
