Financial Accountant | £45-47k| Youth Health Charity | Perm | Hybrid Working in Bristol

This Financial Accountant position is an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected health charity for young people. This role would be crucial in providing accurate and timely financial reporting and planning for the organisation and delivering analytic reporting and ad hoc project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and high-quality month-end management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Overseeing statutory reporting and delivering both quarterly and yearly accounts prep.
• Planning for year-end including delivery of accurate and timely reporting.
• Analysing the consolidated accounts, delivering strong reporting.
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the finance function
• Coordinating financial processes across the department and supplying opportunities for improvement across both systems and policies as they go through a system change
• Some ad hoc reporting surrounding treasury and cashflow

Person Specification

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
• Experience of working within the charity sector ideally (Charity SORP knowledge)
• Strong experience in financial accounting including statutory reporting
• An understanding of Charity VAT/partial exemption
• A proactive and ambitious mindset with the ability to analyse data
• Excellent communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders
