We have a permanent role available within TATA Steel. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication, negotiation and IT literacy skills. The successful applicant will come from a strong sales background within the building sector.
Role: Area Sales Manager (Northern England Territory)
Location: Flexible providing the successful applicant resides in the NE or NW of England
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (dependent upon experience) + Company Car + Bonus
Responsibilities:

Building strong relationships with customers
*
Identifying customer need and requirements
*
Promoting TATA's products and services to eligible customers
*
Managing customer performance against targeted sales
*
Ensuring sales forecasts are accurate and sales targets are met
*
Increasing spend for designated key accounts
*
Reporting on progress and required metrics to senior management
*
Updating CRM systems and logging sales leads
*
Resolving invoice queries
*
Delivering training to customers on product, pricing and process
Essential requirements:
*
Experience managing a sales territory (2+years)
*
Proven experience delivering on and exceeding sales targets (2+years)
*
Knowledge of the building merchants and developers sector
*
Good awareness of competition law
*
Profound negotiation skills
*
Full UK Driving Licence
*
Flexibility towards travel and understanding that some days may be longer than others
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills
*
Good IT Literacy especially with MS Office
*
Ability to present information in a clear and concise way
*
Ability to manage and prioritise own workload under minimal supervision
