Accounts Manager - Office based, Bolton location.
Are you an organised and detail-oriented finance professional looking to take ownership of a varied and hands-on role? We're a growing company based in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, is confident liaising with suppliers, customers, and accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and year-end management accounts
- Produce and review Profit & Loss (P&L) reports
- Oversee and support Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
- Reconcile banking and credit card accounts independently
- Access online portals to retrieve and manage financial data
- Track down missing invoices and liaise with suppliers
- Control a small number of aged debtors and chase outstanding payments
- Ensure VAT returns are submitted on time
- Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation
- Identify and implement improvements to existing financial processes
- Payroll is outsourced and managed separately.
What We're Looking For:
- Confident using cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Proactive, organised, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with CIS, VAT, and other UK financial compliance requirements
