Role: Estimator - Industrial Sector, Construction

Location: Manchester, UK

Salary: Up to £50,000 basic plus package (Car allowance, Travel Allowance and Bonus scheme).

They specialise in creating high-quality turnkey facilities, partnering with some of the UK's leading developers, occupiers, retailers and logistics businesses in the Industrial sector.

Job Description

Evaluate all pertinent information about each project to determine the cost to meet the client's needs and bid for the work against competitors.

* Oversee projects to ensure costs remain in line with forecasts

* Calculate the cost of materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire

* Obtain quotes for all predicted requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers

* Collate detailed price lists of everything needed on each construction project

* Clarify the client's needs and expectations

* Assess and adhere to all risk assessments and health and safety requirements

* Keep up to date with inflation, exchange rates and projected timescale costs

* Liaise with others including Construction Managers, Planners and Design Managers

* Present bids to clients and answer their questions

* Complete work quality submissions

* Prepare and submit quotations for work

* Perform any other duties consistent with the role of Estimator as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

* Experience working on Industrial / Logistics projects would be advantageous

* A degree in Estimating or a related field or current university attendance to achieve this

* Ambition and drive

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Good organisational skills

* The ability to meet strict deadlines

* Good negotiation skills

* The ability to work on your own initiative

* Ability to drive would be beneficial
